| A typical “ㅁ”letter-shape house
in the north area of Gyeongbuk.
There are a large room and a small
room for men. It has three halls in the
center, a room in the left and a main
room in the right. In front of the main
room, two small rooms are located

| Doodeul Maeul (Village) |
| Doodeul Maeul located on a
sharp hill is a village where Seokgye
Lee Si-Myeong and his descendants
lived. It has about 30 traditional
houses including Seokgye’s old house
and Seokcheon village school,
strange rocks and stones carved with
letters of Seodae, Naggidae and
Sesimdae, a monument of Lady
Andong Jang. who wrote a cook book
of Royal Court foods (Eumsikdimibang)
and a mining literature research

| Songso Old House |
| An old house, which is said to be
built in 1880 by Sim Ho-Taek, a
wealthy person in the period of King
Yeongjo’s ruling. It keeps the characteristics
of a high-class housing in old days. You
may experience traditional games such
as shuttlecock game, bird gun shooting,
Tuho, Chilgyo and prostration. |

| Suaedang Old House Experience |
| You may broil sweet potato and potato in the old-style heater and also
