| Saejae is another name of Joryeong, which was developed as a path from Yeongnam to Hanyang in King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty. Yeongnam means the
southern region of Joryeong. It was designated as a historic spot in 1966 and as a province park in 1981. |

| Palgongsan Province Park |
| Palgongsan(Mt.), which bursts up and folded like a folding screen at the place where Taebaek Mountain Range, the spine of Korean Peninsula, stretches
to the south and meets Nakdonggang(River) and Geumhogang(River), is well known as a famous and holy mountain. Palgongsan is a high mountain soaring 1,193m above the
sea and it was named Jungak and Buak. It has many old Buddhist temples of the Silla Dynasty and historic sites such as Gwanbong Stone Seated Buddha(Gatbawi), Wonhyosa,
Cheonseongsa and Bulgulsa(Temple). |
